Safe fixing methods

Controlled drugs safes should be positioned so that they can be bolted to a wall of solid construction (eg. brick, concrete blocks or reinforced concrete).

Where this is not possible the safe should be fixed by bolts passing through the wall to a steel plate of at least 3mm thickness.

The plate should be the same size as the rear of the cupboard and should be positioned so as to include as many internal studs as possible between the bolts.
